Landen has been going through a new stage in which he calls me "bad mom" when he is angry. Parents with more experience tell me this is a good thing. Judging by how their kids turned out, I believe them. So, way to go all you BAD MOMS! You are doing your job!

ReplyDeleteI have heard that statement many times over the past twenty years! I've also heard, "You are so mean! Every one else has a nicer Mom than you!" My response was always, "Thank you, I now know that I am doing my job!" I can say from experience that I thought my own parents were "really mean". However, they are two of the smartest and kindest people that I know. They taught me a lot about life by being "mean". I am betting our children are/will be thankful for their "mean moms"!!
