We were able to take a little family getaway to Minneapolis this past weekend. We kept it a secret from the kids right up until it was time to load the van--so much fun! Our first stop was the Mall Of America.
We came across the girls' and my dream car--Barbie for them and Volkswagen for me! They all know my dream car is a bug and always point them out to me.
Landen said the Mall of America gave him delicious food (Bubba Gump's) and tired feet. Sounds like a successful MOA trip to me!
Sunday afternoon was our first Twins game together as a family. Rachel held the distinction of being the only Melius child previously at a Twins game (when she was about the size of a lima bean). :) The Twins lost horribly, but we did see 2 grand slam home runs in the same game--from the Astros!
We weren't quite to the top, so the boys had to check out the view from there, too.

It was All Star Bat Day and all of the kids got real Louisville Slugger bats!
One day before our 13th anniversary!
